My name is Weston Chapman, and I am the owner of Black Hills Tire in Rapid City, SD. We had Brandon come out to our shop and do a two day in-person training for our staff. I can’t overstate what a great experience it was for our team. I found out about Brandon Steckler from speaking to someone at the Motor Age table at a business conference. I had been looking for a training solution that was more meaningful than what was mostly available in our industry. Something hands-on that our technicians would really engage with. We enjoyed the experience so much, we had him come back some weeks later to follow up the mostly classroom style taught course with one mostly hands on with our scope, scanner, and vehicles. Again, he did an amazing job taking time to engage with each tech to make sure they were understanding the topics fully. After these training sessions I gave all my techs (2 stores, 8 techs) a post training survey. The answers were unanimous. Everyone loved it. They loved the content, the style of teaching, the availability of the teacher and most of all, the real hands-on use of tools and vehicles. This was by far the best training we have ever done. When you factor in the cost of sending individual techs to train on this level, there is no better way to do it. They continue to use the techniques they learned to fix vehicles more accurately and efficiently to this day. This is both better for our customers as well as our bottom line.
